Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive At Guwahati. Evening Boat Ride In Brahmaputra River.

Arrive at Guwahati. Guwahati is largest city of Assam and access point for Wildlife Destinations, Plantation areas, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Visit to Kamakhya Temple (Shaktipeetha) and undertake Brahmaputra Boat Cruise in the evening.

Day 2:
Proceed To Shillong Enroute Visit Umium Lake. Visit Museums During The Day. Evening Visit To Elephant Falls.

Transfer to Shillong (100 kms - 2.5 hrs). Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and is renowned for Natural beauty (Waterfalls, Lakes, views) around it. Enroute visit Umiaum lake (15 kms). Visit Museums in Shillong (Don Bosco Museum, State Museum, Butterfly Museum, Air Force Museum) during the day and visit Elephant Falls in the evening (12 kms).

Day 3:
Day Excursion To Cherrapunjee.

Day Excursion to Cherapunjee (56 kms). Cherrapunjee is one of the highest rainfall areas in the world. View points within couple of kms of Cherrapunjee offers stunning views of the forests, valleys, waterfalls and plains beyond. Short hike to experience Living Root Bridges, what is unique to Cherrapunjee. Return Shillong by late afternoon. Shopping in Police Bazaar in evening.

Day 4:
Departure

Depart to Guwahati (225 kms - 4.5 hours) for onward journey.
